EBiS CLUB

EBiS Club is a social entrepreneurship project that aims to promote a healthy lifestyle among the people of Craiova.

The EBiS Club team consists of students from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at the University of Craiova. The project aims to establish a club / automated system for renting bicycles and electric scooters in the city of Craiova.

More and more people, of all ages, are beginning to realize the relevance and benefits of cycling as a pastime, and not only, with a strong impact on their emotional and mental well-being. Practising this sport consistently develops and maximizes benefits for the brain activity in the long run.

The main objective of the project is the establishment of a centre-platform for bike and scooter sharing, a very fast and user-friendly program, with an automated system for renting bicycles and electric scooters.

EBiS CLUB aims to develop the EBiS-delivery program - which addresses, on the one hand, disadvantaged categories, with specific travel needs and for which our program and devices can meet the need to deliver basic products (food / medicine) and, which, on the other hand, targets providers of services and products that require home delivery.

The idea of developing this project is due to the current socio-economic context, shaped by the COVID-19 pandemic, in which students who volunteered in social campaigns and programs, used bicycles as means of transport and delivery, to reach people in need, this being a healthy solution with minimal costs. In this sense, the students benefited from the support and collaboration of the GoBike volunteers.
