Ford Motor Company, one of the world's leading automotive companies, supports young people in Craiova to develop and use recreational and commercial electric vehicles responsibly. In the recreational category, the electric karts were selected, for which the kits have already been purchased, building five karts with the possibility of adjustment according to the user (dynamics, speed, autonomy) within the kart track project that will be implemented and operated together with Craiova City Hall on the velodrome in the "Nicolae Romanescu” National Park.

A kit has been purchased for the commercial vehicle category, and an electric car is being finalised to supply the economic agents located in the Old City. This component has a dual purpose:

• 1. to send a message of environmental responsibility to our fellow citizens;
• 2. to encourage local companies to get involved in building electric commercial vehicles for urban agglomerations (for cleaning, snow removal, maintenance of green spaces, etc.)
