EcOil-Cuv

Our project is called EcOil-Cuv, and the driving force behind it is that we can make a change in the community we live in. We decided to make a change by collecting used vegetable oil, which is one of the most used waste, both in the rural and urban areas.

Regardless of the type of oil used in cooking, it must not be thrown into the sink, sewerage pipes, dustbins, in the open or in any other places which you might consider at hand. If the oil is thrown into the sink, it clogs and corrodes the pipes and produces a bad odour. Once in the sewerage pipes, they can either form fat deposits that stop water from circulating inside the pipes, risking flooding the streets, corroding the pipes or causing unpleasant odours. Essentially, used oil pollutes! One liter of oil contaminates 1,000 liters of water.

Our team aims not only to collect used oil, but also to turn it into soap!
